time

Time changes.
when I was younger 1 hour seemed like forever.
now it feels so short.
is that because I am older?
as you accumulate more and more time under the hypthetical belt of life, does it shorten the moments?

8 days till christmas.
it feels longer till christmas then it did last week
that doesnt make sense.
is it because I am excited?

Excitement makes time slow slow down
dreading makes time speed up

I have figured out the way of staying young forever.
I will always stay in a perpetual state of excitement.

8 more days....

Halloween, left to right, Mckenna (laundry basket) Me (gangster) Candice (also gangster) umm I cant remember this girls name but she is an exchange student at bedford and Candice invited her to come with us. She was really great. I have learned a valuable lesson on this night. Big pants are HARD to walk in. I really have no idea how guys can be the least bit comfortable wearing these pants. It feels like your walking with a diaper on and every time you stop walking the pants fall down to your knees.
OH yeah and Me and Candice are WAY to nice to be gangster. Every time me and candice steped on someones grass we were like "ohhh IM soooooo sorry!!!". And "Have a happy Halloween!!/ have a good evening!" after every house. But I wouldnt have it any other way. I wonder what me and Candice will be next year?

Sunday, November 4, 2007

So today I got to be part of the service at crossroads church. Me and Mckenna (Angela, and Emily) got to come out and stand on stage during a song. (I Am by Nicole Nordeman) I really felt part of the crew that workes to pull off the sunday services every week. It also made me appreciate how muchwork really goes into each and every thing that happens on the stage. So to any of you reading this blog, thank you!

What happened to playing tag?

Do you remember the days when you could just go outside and find plenty of kids to play a simple game of tag with? Well those days seemed to have ended for me. The other day on Halloween night after trick-or-treating me and Candice went to a friends house for a chance to hang out. During this time the collective teens who were there, traded candy, talked about the outrageous costumes seen that night and threw unwanted candy (saltwater taffy/tootsie rolls) at each other.
Once we were all hyped up on sugar, I had the great idea to go outside and play ghost in the graveyard (for directions, Google the said name). That idea was taken with great enthusiasm, which was dashed when we figured we would be unable to play due to the fact there was a fence encircling the yard. So we decided to play just plain hide and seek, which then turned into hide and seek tag, which then turned into more of a hybrid due to the fact that half of the people were afraid of slipping if they ran because of wet ground. Then, we had to put limits on where people could run IF they didn't have wetgroundaphobia. THEN there had to be a " safe" which turned into a place everyone who was hiding tried to get to and where you had to stay till the end of the game, instead of a temporary spot of safety. Oh yeah AND since some of the girls didn't want to look for people by themselves they had to have partners. The game of tag evolved into a game of what is now called... hide-and-seek-tag-but-don't-run-if-you-don't-want-to-slip-and-you-have-to-make-it-to-the-goal-before-the-seekers-get-bored-or-you-will-be-hiding-all-night-while-they-go-back-inside-and-eat-pizza-together-because-girls-are-too-scared-to-go-anywhere-without-a-partner, game. Sound fun?

seasons change

There are these things called seasons.... I love them. I just think that God was brilliant when he made them up. I wonder if any of the Angels ever thought to question why God made the earth be able to deliver such harsh temperatures. hmmmmm...

The seasons are all so different but all so amazing too. One thing I cant understand is how people have their favorite season. For me this feat is impossible. when every season comes around I am totally ready for it, the change of colors and definitely the change of temperature. Take fall for example when the wind starts blowing and I can feel a slight nip in the air, I get all excited for mittens, scarfs, and knitting . sometimes I wonder what is so captivating about seasons for me. Is it the prospect of a new beginning? Or is it the Holidays that are seen drawing ever closer on the horizon? I don't know, but I am so glad that God didn't listen to those Angels...

no going back

This is cool. I officially have a blog.
Actually it feels weird.
Letting tons of people be able to look at anything that you have posted.
Telling people what you think.
And them being able to tell you what they think about it.
Wether it is good or bad.
oh well, there's no going back now...
